VIP Exclusive Pre-Opening

Crate & Barrel and CB2

Last week the A|S Team was invited to attend the Exclusive VIP Pre-Grand Opening of the new Crate & Barrel and CB2 stores at Tysons Galleria Mall. We were incredibly pumped for this event because, not only are we past, current and future clients ourselves of both stores, but we were also excited to see the new showrooms to browse what’s in store (no pun intended) for the year ahead in the interior design space.

ABOUT THE EVENT

The event was held one day prior to the official launch and it was so nice to get a preview of both stores. You could really tell that the employees took pride in getting the store ready and were so helpful with the various experiences happening during the event, as well as the products in the stores. Live music, festive cocktails & hors d'oeuvres, and a fun crowd all contributed to a unique event that we were so thankful to be a part of.

REASONS WHY WE LOVE THESE STORES

Long before we became Interior Designers and started A|S, we found ourselves frequent shoppers of both Crate & Barrel and CB2. Our own tastes align closely with both stores and their modern, neutral and somewhat eclectic furniture items and other decor pieces. Both of our homes are covered floor to ceiling in decor items and accents from these stores so we were elated upon receiving a personalized invitation for an exclusive sneak peek at the new stores.

FURNITURE OUTLOOK 2022

There was a retro feel to the pieces, fitting nicely with current trends. The stores were also both ready for the Spring season and stocked a variety of outdoor pieces that are perfect for all of the upcoming warm weather. Online shopping is so great and the A|S Team loves e-commerce, but there are some items (especially furniture) that you just need to touch & feel prior to making a purchase. In particular, it was so nice to see the Kravitz Design x CB2 collection in person – as the pieces have caught our eye in the catalog and website for months!

OUTFITS

Since ACCESS | Style covers both realms of design, those being interior and fashion, we wanted to showcase our styling abilities in our attire for the event as well. We pride ourselves on our fashion styling arm of the business and wanted to dress the part of a stylish design duo. Taking into account the weather, time of year, each of our personal styles and dress code for the event, we each had fun crafting outfits that fit our personalities and also represented A|S.
